Azusa Pacific University, one in the largest Christian universities within the nation today, commenced on March 3, 1899, when several men and women of all ages passionate about building a place for Orlando education gathered to create the Training University for Christian Personnel. It became the very first Bible college on the West Coast geared toward preparing individuals for ministry along with service. The university’s award-winning intercollegiate athletics program consists of 19 teams. This course won an unparalleled eight consecutive Country wide Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Directors’ Cup awards before you begin provisional membership within the National Collegiate Sports Association (NCAA) Department II in slide 2012, becoming a complete member in 2014.
