Albany State University (ASU) Established in 1903 as the Albany Bible and Manual Training Institute, and it is known for outstanding programs in business and public administration, teacher education, nursing, criminal justice and other.
ASU is one of three historically black universities (HBCUs) which offers more than 30 undergraduate degree programs and six degrees higher in the four colleges: the College of Arts and Humanities, College of Business, University of Education, and the College of Health Sciences and profession.
